Northeast Ohio Lifestyle Blogger
I figured a fun first blog post of 2021 would be 21 fun facts about me! So, here they are- with some pictures too!
1. I was born in Virginia
Born in Lynchbrug, VA. Moved to Forest, VA in 2nd grade to be in a better school district. Then moved to Reminderville, Ohio in 6th grade because of my dad’s job! Basically all of my parent’s immediate family lived in Virginia.
2. I used to be a major tomboy
When I lived in Forest, I went through a major tomboy phase- probably because most of the neighborhood kids were boys. All I wanted to do was play in the creek, ride dirtbikes, and play football. I swore I would never wear pink and wanted to go by my last name, Logan (cringe).
3. I’m 5’10
I used to haaate being tall. I felt very unfeminine being taller than all of my girl friends and most of the guys around me. Now I love it! My long legs are one of my favorite physical features about myself.
4. I LOVE kids
I’ve loved kids and babies ever since I was one myself! I’ve been babysitting for years. The current family I babysit for has 5 kids, ages 2-9, and I’ve been with them for 3 years. I’ve also taught mommy & me, preschool, and recreational gymnastics classes at two different gyms- one of my most rewarding jobs by far. I can’t wait to have my own kids one day!
5. I have 2 brothers
I’m a middle child, but the fact that I’m the only girl made me special lol. I have a 25 year old brother names Terry and a 14 year old brother named Sheldon. Sheldon and I are very close!
6. My parents are divorced
My parents separated in August of 2017, right before I started college. It was definitely hard to deal with for a while. I always feel a since of relief when I meet someone that also has divorced parents; I feel like they’ll be able to understand my situation in ways that others may not.
7. I hated high school
I was never bullied and mostly kept to myself, but high school will forever be some of the worst years of my life. I was diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety and Major Depression during my sophomore year. So, dealing with that was tough. I absolutely dreaded going to school most days and tried to convince my parents to let me do online school. I got that wish years later- thanks COVID
8. I did competitive cheer for 4 years
Competitive cheer was definitely the highlight of my high school years. I loved the friends and experiences that cheer gave me. In 8th grade-11th grade, I cheered at a gym called United Force in Hinkley, Ohio. I got to go to different states with my team, and the sport was a great bonding experience for my dad & I. He was my biggest supporter!
9. I have few friends
Quality, not quantity lol! I’m a major introvert so the idea of friend groups were always very overwhelming to me. I prefer hanging out with one or two people at a time. I was very shy in high school as well, so it was rare I put myself out there to meet new people. Also, I really do enjoy my alone time so I’ve never been great at putting effort into actually hanging out with new friends to develop those relationships. The friends I do have are amazing though and just what I need!
10. I’m very frugal
I hate spending money because I looove seeing the number in my bank account go up lol. I also had a big $ goal I wanted to have saved by the time I graduated college. I fell a little short of it, but having that goal definitely kept me from spending as much. When I do spend money though, it’s on iced coffee or clothes or Messiah !
11. I believe in the Law of Attraction
Thanks to my dad and his fiance, I’m a firm believe in the Law of Attraction. I believe that as long as my thoughts and actions are aligned with my goals, I will be rewarded with everything I have envisioned for myself in the future. This mentality has definitely helped ease the anxiety I used to have regarding the unknown of the future.
12. I was single for 21 years
And I don’t regret the wait at all! I was definitely a late bloomer when it came to boys. I was way too shy and insecure to interact with them in high school. Then I went through a phase of giving guys my attention, that definitely didn’t deserve it. Self growth led me to realize my worth and what I deserved; and now I’m dating someone that treats me like a queen
13. I got pancreatitis my freshman year of college
What started as stomach cramps at Flashathon resulted in a week long hospital stay. It was so painful and scary. I also had to share a hospital room with an old lady that couldn’t walk to the bathroom, so she had to go in a portable potty in the room.. it. was. horrible. The two main causes of pancreatitis were gallbladder stones and excessive alcohol consumption. I only drank alcohol once at that point in my life. It’s still a mystery!
14. I love taking photos and videos
I’d honestly love for photography to be a side hustle of mine one day. I get so much joy from taking photos and then editing them. I also enjoy taking and editing videos as well. I got to film a coworkers wedding in July of 2018 and that was such a fun experience! They loved how the video turned out. It wasn’t perfect, but I was still proud of it!
15. My dream job is probably a blogger
A blogger, YouTuber, micro blogger on Instagram, or to own my own business… or all! I just know that I’d really enjoy something in that realm. It seems far fetched, but I try to remind myself that nothing is impossible with!
16. My Jeep is one of my most prized possessions
I am not into cars, unless it’s a Wrangler lol. Jeep Wrangler was my dream car. My dad told me that if I chose Kent over the University of Findlay (very expensive pharmacy school), he would get me a Jeep at the end of my first semester. Good thing I chose Kent, because pharmacy would not have been for me! I did end up getting the Jeep right before college though.
17. I’m a perfectionist
My strength and weakness. This causes me to push myself, but it also results in me being really hard on myself or giving myself enough credit. For example, when I got an A- and lost my 4.0 GPA in college, I sulked for hours. Looking back on it, GPA is not THAT important and a 3.99 was still pretty freaking impressive lol
18. I work as a Marketing Coordinator
I graduated in December of 2020 and now work as a Marketing Coordinator. This is my first time working full time, so it’ll be an adjustment. I’m definitely grateful to have a job in the field I went to school for, right out of college!
19. I’m currently living at home
I lived at home for my last semester of school and have decided to continuing living at home for a few months to save money. My parents live minutes away from eachother, so I bounce back and forth between houses!
20. I’m very indecisive
I hate when people ask me what my favorite {insert item} is, because I can literally never decide! The only favorite I can confidently say right now is that my favorite meal is Pasta Da Vince with Italian Sausage from Cheesecake Factory . My indecisiveness also carries into picking out outfits or pictures to post on insta lol
21. I prefer looking at YouTube and Pinterest over watching TV
My attention span is too short for TV shows and movies most of the time. I looove watching clothing hauls and some vlogs on YouTube. Pinterest is my go to when I want to get inspired or motivated!
